Mrs. Mary Bryan Asleep
Friday, last, Mrs. Mary Bryan and old time resident of Springville passed into the realm of the sleepers where lie the countless dead. She was put to final rest by an ----- attack of pneumonia, while at Manti where she had been a temple worker during the last 10 years.
Born in England, she was attracted by the preaching of Mormonism, and joined them. Her husband died in 1862 and the next year she came to Utah with a company of immigrants traversing the old walk with an oxen team, arriving in Springville the autumn of that year.
Mrs. Bryan was a kind, helping woman, and while at Manti she was said to have been a first class, dedicated faithful worker. John Bryan is her only surviving child.
The funeral was held at the First Ward Church, Sunday afternoon where Bp. Huntington was in charge and made remarks. The other speakers were Elders Jos. D. Reynolds, Benjamin T. Blanchard and J.S. Boyer.

Obituary
Mary Peaseland Bryan, daughter of Samuel and Sarah Wesley Peasland, was born Aug. 15th 1831, at Northampton, England.
She was mother of five children three boys and two girls.
Her husband died in England in 1862. She immigrated to Utah in 1863 with her son John Bryan, her other son, Thomas having proceeded her the previous year, or they being the only two children living then.
She resided in Springville until twenty-one years ago when she moved to Manti, and started to work in the Temple where she continued to work faithfully for her dead relatives and friends, until one week before her death on Oct 20, 1911.
She leaves one son, two daughter-in law, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The body was shipped to Springville, where funeral services were held Sunday Oct. 22nd, many relatives and friends attending the services.
