Mrs. Jean Carolyn Matthews, 29, of Route 5, Waco, died at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, at Gholson Methodist Church. Rev. Joe Roberts officiating assisted by Billy Mack Patterson, burial Gholson Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Matthews of Route 5, Waco; three daughters, Nanette Matthews, Kimberly Matthews and Tanya Matthews and one son, Jeffrey Matthews, all of Route 5, Waco; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Allred of Route 1, Aquilla; her grandmother, Mrs. R. P. Horton of 3200 Bagby; one sister, Mrs. Maria Turner of 2806 Proctor; three brothers, Kenneth Allred of 1012 Gilliam, Larry Allred of Route 5, Waco, and Ronald Allred of Route 1, Aquilla; and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Lee Reddell, Spencer Johnson, Allen Carter, Al Kilgo, Harold E. O. Stieg, and James L. Stessel.
