JONESPORT - June Ellen Smith Griffin, 54, the daughter of Leon and Angelena (Alley) Smith. June was a graduate of Jonesport-Beals High School, class of 1974 and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine at Machias. She was a talented quilter and loved making jewelry and working in her gardens. June was a great lover of animals.
She is survived by her husband Lowell; daughters; sons and one grandson. Also surviving are her parents; a sister and brother along with nieces, great nieces, great nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins. June was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Smith; and nephew, Toby Jay Carver. Private funeral services will be at a later date.
