Marie Estelle Childers Bishop, 81, of Connelly Springs, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Valdese General Hospital, following a brief illness. Marie was born in Burke County July 22,1930 to the late Homer H. Childers and Beulah Wilson Childers. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church Hildebran and was a loing mother, grandmother and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bishop; one brother, Evan Childers; and one niece, Kristy Childers. Survivors include her daughter, Marisa Bishop Sabey and her husband, Patrick of Hildebran; and one sister, Reba Fulbright and her husband Mike of Connelly Springs. Also surviving are the grandchildren, Nicholas Teague, Marshall Teague, and Haley Sabey. Interment in First Baptist Church Hildebran Cemetery.
