The younger of two daughters of Joseph and Celia Ellen Snelling Elliott, Genevieve married Charles F. Moats 26 Sep 1917 in Fairfield. He died Oct. 28, 2002. A son, Gerald Ray, her parents, and sister, Mildred Elliott Fortner (2001) also died before her.
She is survived by four daughters: Joselene (Kelly) Smith, Mava Moats, Mary Moats, and Dora (Allen) Schnell; a granddaughter, a step-grandchild, a great-granddaughter, three step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and United Methodist.
