CONSTANCE L. EACRET of Hemet, died Feb. 4th after a lengthy battle with lymphoma. She was born in Kirksville, MO to Jack and Ina Lindsey on Sept. 3rd, 1932. Her family moved to Hemet in 1945. Connie performed in the Ramona Pageant and graduated from Hemet High School. She was crowned Miss Hemet in 1950. In 1951 she married James Eacret, also a graduate of HHS. They moved with their two young children to Ridgecrest, CA in 1959. Connie was librarian/media specialist at Faller School until she and Jim returned to Hemet to live. Connie then worked at St. John's Preschool as a teacher's aide and volunteered as a literacy tutor for many years. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Connie loved all children and dedicated her life to helping them learn and grow. She is survived by her husband Jim; son Dwayne (Sandra); daughter Jamie Orlett (Bernie) and grandchildren Valerie and Darrell Eacret. She was predeceased by her brother Leon Lindsey. A celebration of her life will be held on Feb. 17th at 1 pm. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hemet. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. Published in Press-Enterprise on February 9, 2012.
