"Mrs. Walter M. Bishop
Mrs. Walter M. Bishop (Maona Viola Mason) of 106 East York, Akron, Ohio died February 16 in General Hospital, Akron.
A patient for many years in a convalescent home, she fell in her room and broke her hip. She was then removed to the hospital.
Born January 8, 1873 at Colerain, Mich., she attended the Utica school and graduated from the Utica High School.
For many years she was a teacher. While a student at the Ferris Institute, she met and later married, Walter M. Bishop. They moved to Pennsylvania and later to Akron where she lived for 50 years.
She was the daughter of the late Richard and Viola, Jenney Mason. Surviving are two sons, Donald, of Syracuse, N.Y. ; Deane, of Tampa, Florida and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Kuhar of Akron, one brother, Earle Mason of Ionia and three grandchildren.
Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Akron.
She was a cousin of Mrs. P.J. Arts of Utica and Mrs. William Toussaint of Rochester."
