A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony.

Lois was born in Harmony to Tracy and Mabel Yeoman on Feb. 19, 1928. She married Morris Alfson Sr. in Harmony on April 4, 1945. Lois lived in Harmony most of her life, where she enjoyed bowling, golfing, knitting, crocheting, and riding her horses. She worked for 22 years for Northwestern Bell Telephone in Preston and then Rochester.
She is survived by her sons, Morris and Dennis (Gayle), and daughter, Lynell Shanks, all of Harmony; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris; an infant daughter, Virginia; three brothers and two sisters.
