She was a resident of Barberton, Ohio, most of her life, moving to Easley, S.C., in 1992. Freda was a graduate of Barberton High School, serving as class president for the Class of 1924. She retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Easley, S.C., First Families of Ohio, Ohio Genealogical Society, and a longtime member of Jeannette Chapter 212, O.E.S.
Preceded in death by her husband, Leland R. Keck, she was the beloved mother of Kathy Aterburn Giambrone and her husband, William, of Powdersville, S.C.; grandmother of Dale and Mark Arterburn, both of Greer, S.C.; great-grandmother of Camden Arterburn, also of Greer, S.C.; and daughter of the late Birtus O. and Ida Zimmerman Etling.
