Lita L. Apodaca, 102, of Las Cruces, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2012. Lita was born on February 8, 1909 in La Mesilla, NM to Manuel and Clara Gonzalez Lucero. Lita enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends but her passion was for her son. Lita will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Lita is survived by her loving son, Bobby Rodriguez and his wife, Daisy of Las Cruces and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Lita was preceded in death by her two husbands, Roberto Rodriguez and David Apodaca and three sisters, Pablita, Josefina and Lupe. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 p.m. Lita's funeral mass to celebrate her life is at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be at Masonic Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer will go to members of her family.
