Elizabeth "Betty" Diede, 88, died Sept. 30, 2002, Bismarck, North Dakota. Betty was born May 4, 1914, at Mandan, the daughter of Frank and Veronica (Beehler) Schaff. She was raised and attended schools in Mandan. Betty married Clarence Diede on Aug. 27, 1940, in Mandan. They lived in Mandan and moved to Bismarck in 1951, where Betty's priority was raising her family.
Betty loved cooking, baking and spending time at their lake cabin at Lake Isabel with family. She enjoyed gardening and had the most beautiful flower gardens.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Melanie Diede, Longmont, Colo.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ed Gull, Boca Raton, Fla., Jane and Dave Beaton, Lincoln, Neb., and Sandy and Dave Feist, Rapid City, S.D.; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; one brother, Frank Schaff, Tacoma, Wash.; and two special friends, Sharon and Heather Sundby.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and 12 brothers and sisters.
