Christopher Cody Albertson was taken to heaven and reunited with his dad, Bret, on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was born on Friday, August 24, 1984 to the late Bret Albertson and Jeri Fry of Gosport. Chris leaves behind his sister, Ariel, and his devoted and loving aunts Donita Ashbrook and Sheila Sparks, along with many cousins and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Maxine Albertson and Harry and Betty Kinsman. He was baptized at the New Life Christian Church of Paragon and was a past member of the Youth Group at First United Methodist Church of Martinsville. He was a member of the Martinsville High School class of 2003 and was a manager of the Martinsville Football team in 2001. Chris was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees. He enjoyed monster trucks and the Morgan County demolition derby. His favorite music was rap with Eminem and Lil' Wayne, his favorite artists.
Christopher's happiest times were visits with his loving family and friends. He loved taking rides on his aunt's golf cart. While residing at Grandview Health he had many caretakers who became his friend. His teasing ways were known to many. Christopher fought a long hard battle with NF and has now won the battle with God's grace. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville. Burial will be at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
