Mrs. Ollie Aurbrey
Mrs. Olivia "Ollie" Cannon Aurbrey, 87, 1215 Boswell, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Friday morning.
She was born June 4, 1887, in North Topeka, the daughter of Melvin and Hattie Grant. She attended Topeka schools. She had lived in Minnesota and returned to Topeka in 1944.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, the Ladies Evening Guild at the church, the Elks City Court Heroines Jericho at Leavenworth.
She was past international senior stewardress of Court of Cyrene, past grand commandress Order of Cyrene Kansas Jurisdiction, and past commandress Harriett Ann Court Order of Cyrene.
She had been past loyal lady ruler of Golden Circle Kansas City Assembly, past illustrious commandress Daughter of Isis No. 44, and past worthy matron of Electra Chapter No. 3 Order of Eastern Star at Minneapolis, Minn.
She was married in 1909 to Thomas R. Cannon at Anoka, Minn. He died in January, 1939.
She later was married to James R. Aurbrey, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Ima Hirgrow (sic), 1222 Boswell, and Mrs. Thelma A. Bean, 622 Lindenwood.
Services are pending at Bowser Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
