HARRIS.--Died, at his home in Waverly, Tenn., March 6, 1898, Thomas Urbane Harris. He was born in Humphreys County, Tenn., Nov, 17, 1838; was united in holy wedlock to Miss Maggie McAdoo, a grandniece [sic: should be great-grandniece] of Rev. Samuel McAdoo, [sic: McAdow] in May 1867; professed faith in Christ and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 1867, in which he lived a faithful member until his death. He served as a ruling elder in the Waverly congregation for several years; was always deeply interested in the welfare of the church, and encouraged the work of Christ by taking an active part in Sunday school and church interests. He was a good citizen, a kind indulgent father and one of the best of husbands. May God bless the loved ones yet living . A. H. MANLY.
