Obituary

On Monday, May 26, 1879, at the residence of Chas. G. Ermatinger, her son, in the town of Anson, Chippewa County, Wis., Elizabeth, relict of the late George Ermatinger, of Alexandra, Glengary Co. Ontario, aged 72 years, and 40 days.
The deceased was born in Lancaster, County of Glengary, Ontario, on the 15 of April 1807. She was the daughter of Angus and Margery McDougald, who emigrated from Krodart, Inverneschire, Scotland, in the county of Glengary, in the then called province of Upper Canada, over a century ago.
She had the consolation in her last moments of being surrounded by all her surviving children, numbering 5 sons and 3 daughters, who deeply mourn her loss. The deceased will long live in the memory of all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.
The mortal remains of the deceased was interred on Wednesday, May 28, in St. Marys Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Mrs. Ermatinger was the mother-in-law of Dennis Carroll, Esq., Hugh K.. McDonald and Mrs. Palmer, all of whom reside in this county.
