A homemaker, Erma was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown and also sang with Shenks Chorus for over 20 years. She was a life member of Friendship Fire & Hose Company, Elizabethtown, the Rheems Fire Company, and earlier served as Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Erma enjoyed baking and cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Bud, she is survived by six children: Jay E., husband of Janet Boozer, Palmyra; Linda L. Boozer; Terry S., husband of Sharon Boozer; Michael S., husband of Robin Boozer; Philip K., husband of Faythe Boozer and James M., husband of RaeAnn Boozer, all of Elizabethtown; 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
Erma was preceded in death by a sister Rhoda Kennedy, and two brothers Clarence and Abram Ginder.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call on Monday at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown from 6:30-8:30 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
