Mrs. Hilda Hendry Adams, 85, of Petal, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Moore Petal Chapel with interment to follow in Bennie Hensarling Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Hilda was a member of First Baptist Church of Runnelstown and was a nurturer at heart. At home, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a great cook and loved nothing better than sharing Sunday dinners after church surrounded by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her nurturing spirit extended into her community as Hilda and husband John Quincy opened Adams Nursery in Petal, a legacy continued by son Phillip and grandson Ricky. Hilda loved helping customers find something special and teaching them how to care for their plants.
She is survived by her children, Phillip Adams and wife, Lynette, Pat Adams and wife, Lisa and Prentiss Adams and wife, Miranda; brothers, Phil Hendry, Jr., Raymond Hendry, Randy Hendry, Rocky Hendry, and Joe Hendry; her beloved grandchildren, Ricky Adams, Anna Dye, Jessica Curry, Casey Adams, Brandon Adams, Sean Adams, Michael Adams, Matthew Adams, Paige Stephens, Ian Adams and Levi Adams; and great grandchildren, Luke Adams, Macie Adams, Lillie Adams, Chris Dye, Connor Dye, John Isaac Stephens, Hattie Grace Stephens, Charleigh Beth Stephens, and Wrenley Cate Adams.
