Alfred Cox Grover Jr., 79, of Green Brook died June 22, 2009 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was born in Camden and had lived in Oaklyn and Plainfield before moving to Green Brook 52 years ago. For 43 years, Alfred was Vice President of computer operations for RCA, then NBC in New York City before retiring in 1985. He earned his Masters Degree in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology and his undergraduate degree in Engineering from the University of Pa. Alfred was active with the Green Brook Lions Club, the Senior Club of Green Brook and the Traveling Seniors of No. Plainfield. He honorably served in the US Air Force during the time after WWII and before the Korean Conflict.
Surviving is his wife, Joan; a daughter, Karen Morelli and her two children, Brianne and Michael of Hillsborough; a brother, Robert E. Grover of Tampa, Fl.; two sisters, Jewel Demore and her husband William of Delran, Cheri Mack and her husband Barry of Naples, Fl. and several nieces & nephews.. Cremation will be private.
