Elmer E. Moore, 79, of Ockley,
died Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.
after suffering a heart attack
while visiting at the home of a
neighbor, Herschel Meyers. He had
been in failing health for several
years.
Born Dec. 17, 1880, in Iowa, he
was the son of James M. and
Charlotte Chambers Moore.
He was
a retired Monon Railroad dispatcher
and had lived most of his lifetime
in the Ockley community
where he was a member of the
Ockley EUB church; the Masonic
Lodge at Rossville, the IOOF lodge
at Delphi and the Sugar Creek
Conservation Club.
Surviving is a brother, Otto of
Sycamore, Illinois.
Funeral rites were conducted
Wednesday from the Eikenberry
funeral home with the Rev. O. P.
Manker officiating. Burial was in
the Masonic cemetery. Graveside
services were conducted by the
Masonic lodge.
