Eugene P. (Chauncey) Creeden, 81 of Vestal died at the Vestal Nursing Center Saturday, July 31, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Dorothea and five children, Paul and his wife Theresa, Colleen and her husband William Baldwin, Judith Creeden, Ellen and her husband Dominic Borraccia and Patrick Creeden. Four grandchildren, Brian and his wife Lindsey Baldwin, Caitlin Baldwin, Michael Borraccia and Christopher Borraccia. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. He was a retired IBM Corp. employee, retiring after 25 years of service. A graduate of Tufts College of Chemical Engineering, a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He was a volunteer and Eucharistic minister at Binghamton General Hospital for the past 14 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed photography and walking.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St., Endicott and at 10 am from Our Lady of Sorrows Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the memorial home Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Eugene's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
