Mrs. Emma Leimbach
Died Monday Morning

The funeral of Mrs. Emma Leim-
bach took place from the Congrega-
tional church in Granville on Wednes-
day afternoon at two o'clock, Rev.
Stetson delivering the funeral sermon,
members of the choir doing the sing-
Ing. Mrs. Leimbach died at the
home of her son Edward in Spring
Valley on Monday, Jan. 15, 1917. The
interment took place in the family
lot in the Granville cemetery. Her
husband, Bernard Leimbach died at
the farm home north of town April 17,
1915. She leaves a family of grown
children, her daughter, Mrs. Herman
Meyer being now in the Peru hospital.
A goodly concourse of friends attend-
ed the obseputes; F. I. Peterson in
charge. The following short sketch
was read at the funeral:

Mrs. Emma Leimbach, formerly
Miss Emma Kukardt [sic] was born in Chi-
cago Sept. 25, 1854 where she lived
till she was married to Bernard Leim-
bach of Chicago and then they made
their home on a farm near Granville,
Ill. where they lived for 37 years till
her husband died; then she lived near
Florid for one year after which she
stayed the rest of her life with her
son Edward Leimbach at Spring Val-
ley where she died Jan. 15, 1917. She
leaves to mourn their loss, four child-
ren and eight grandchildren. Her
daughter Minnie, now Mrs. Herman
Meyer, three sons, William of South,
Dakota, Adolph of North Dakota and
Edward of Spring Valley.
