Norma Jean Ingold Austin, age 78, of Albemarle, passed away at her home on January 14, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
They will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Sunday, January 15 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. At other times, the family will meet at her home.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16 at 11:00 AM at Silver Springs Baptist Church, with a 30 minute state, officiated by Rev. Mark Little. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Austin was born on November 26, 1933 in Stanly County, to the late Arlie V. Ingold and the late Adell Mills Ingold. Also, her husband, Charles Shelton Austin, preceded her in death in 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Moyle and her husband Mike, Tammy Foreman and her husband Gary, all of Albemarle; grandchildren, Charles Swaringen, Jessica Cooke, Phillip Moyle and April Hinson; great-grandchild, Jordan Cooke; step grandchildren, Terry Foreman, Todd Foreman, Chad Foreman and Christy Starnes; seven step great-grandchildren.
