Jason David "JD" Flock, 39, a loved husband, father, son, and brother passed away at his home in Springfield, IL, Sunday, January 8, 2012.

JD was born in Beaverton, OR, on February 27, 1972 to Steven and Sharon (Nudelman) Flock. He married Amanda Groth on September 27, 2003.

He served in the United States Army as a medical specialist from 1990-1993. JD earned the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Marksman Marksmanship Badge Rifle, M16, and Marksman Marksmanship Badge Grenade. He also earned his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician.

JD served the United States Postal Service for the last 17 years, most recently in maintenance. He was a member of the DAV (Disabled Veterans) and the American Postal Workers Union. He was an enthusiast and collector of muscle cars and motorcycles. He was a lover of all animals and enjoyed woodworking and all forms of art.

JD was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda; his beloved children; Tori René Flock (18), Jesse D. Flock (16) both of Chatham, IL, and Nadyne Flock-Haley of Springfield, IL, his parents, Steven and Sharon (Nudelman) Flock of Beaverton, OR, his brother Kevin (wife Rachell) Flock of, ID, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends including Jason Lee and the crew at New Age Tattoo.

Celebration of Life will be held at the DAV Hall, 25 Club Drive, Springfield, IL on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 1 PM.
