O. TOLLEFSON DIES IN GREEN BAY HOSPITAL
Messages received here this morning by relatives told of the death
of Olaf Tollefson, 52, for over 20 years a resident of Manitowoc,
at St. Vincent's hospital at Green Bay. Death occurred at 9:25
o'clock after an illness which has confined him at the hospital
for two months.
Born in Norway on September 24, 1877, Mr. Tollefson came to this
country as a boy of two, the family settling in the east. Twenty
years ago he and Mrs. Tollefson moved to this city and the family
has lived here since, Mr. Tollefson being employed with the
McMullen & Pitz company for many years and later with the Greiling
company at Green Bay.
Besides his widow he is survived by eight children, Floyd, Earl,
Orin, Delore, Roland, Allan and Florence, all at home and Mrs. Gust
Viel, Manitowoc; four brothers Oscar, Pellef, Thomas and Andrew, all
of Sturgeon Bay, two sisters, Mrs. Julius Heberle of Sturgeon Bay,
Mrs. Allie Abas of Milwaukee and three grandchildren.
Funeral services have not yet been planned but it is believed burial
will take place on Monday. The body was brought here this afternoon
by Wattawa & Urbanek.
