Annamae Dogin, age 82, passed away early on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Lovelace Hospital.
A resident of Albuquerque for over 60 years, Annamae was born and raised in Denver, CO. Annamae was the daughter of Joseph and Clara Ganatta of Denver CO, who preceded her in death.
Annamae received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and continued her education at the University of New Mexico, earning a Master's degree in Art Education. Annamae was a school teacher for 40 years, teaching for many years at Monte Vista Elementary School. Annamae was a very active member of Congregation B'nai Israel, teaching Sunday School there for many years, serving in the Synagogue Sisterhood, and running the gift shop for many years.
Her son, Joshua, daughter-in-law Dina, grandchildren Aiden and Naomi, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Lorraine Head and Arlene Garin and her husband John, of Denver, CO and many nieces and nephews survive her.
Her husband, Alvin, and sister, Lettybelle Goodman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Congregation B'nai Israel, 4401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Rabbi Arthur Flicker presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
