Harry Louis Bacon Jr. of Midway departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, in Augusta. Harry was born on Aug. 25, 1950, to Mrs. Elnora Bacon and the late Mr. Harry L. Bacon Sr. in Walthourville.
His formal education began in the Liberty County School System. In 1973 Harry enlisted into the United States Army where he continued his education. In 1974 he graduated from Frankfurt High School while stationed in Germany. He served honorably as a military policeman and was discharged from active duty in 1976.
Harry was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Walthourville.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Montez V. Bacon of Midway; two sons, Eric (Arlene) Smith of Ludowici and Nicholas Bacon of Midway; his mother, Elnora Henry Bacon of Walthourville; three brothers, Ernest Bacon and Stanley (Gloria) Bacon, both of Walthourville, and Ulysses Evans of Jesup; three grandchildren, Montasia and Aaliyah Robertson and Rasheed Smith; a goddaughter, TaGella Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
