Baier, William E. Bill, age 84. Born April 8, 1926. Born to Eternal Life January 28, 2011. Beloved husband of Cecelia (nee Lennartz) for 59 1/2 years. Dear father of Barbara (Paul) Berndt, Stephen (JoAnn) Baier and David (Lisa) Baier. Dear grandfa -ther of Sara (David) Kohls, Scott Berndt, Nicholas, Alex, Joshua, Monica and Jamie Rose Baier. Dear great-grandfather of Emma Ann Kohls.
Bill retired after 43 years of service with Ameritech Telephone Company as an equipment engineer.
He is a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers and also of the Knights of Columbus Council #4240. He was proud to serve his country in the 1st Marine Division during WWII in the Battle of Okinawa, and from there to (H+S) Headquarters and service in China.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, February 1, 12 Noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, N89 W16297 Cleveland Ave., Menomonee Falls. Visitation Tuesday at the Church from 10 AM until time of Mass. Private entombment Resurrection Cemetery, Mequon. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary Catholic Church, Home and Hospice Advantage or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
