Roy Walker, born February 16, 1898, died December 20, 1928, at 3:40 o'clock P. M., aged 30 years 10 months and 4 days.

He left a message to his wife, asking her to be good while she lived here on this earth and meet him in heaven. He called for his little son, Umbert, and asked him to remain with him until he was at rest. He asked Mr. Hall to take his son and keep him and be good to him. He promised that he would. He also told his son to tell his little daughter, age 4, who is living with his first wife's sister, that he would like to see her and for her to be good. He said that he was prepared to meet his God and that he would soon be at rest. He knew everything that was asked him and was never unconscious during his illness. He asked to be set in a chair so he could have a good breath and when seated he laid his head back against the chair and closed his eyes in death.

He left his wife Virgie; his son, Umbert; his daughter, Delphine, and six brothers who are: Hiram, Jeno, Menie, Alonzo, Leslie and Arnie Walker, and three half brothers who are Kennith, Vestos and Ted Walker. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Ida Ramsey, Mrs. Ena Nally and Mrs. Ono Pierson. He also had two half sisters, Beulah Walker and Mrs. Mrs. Blandia Mullins. Besides these he leaves a host of friends and other relatives. Everybody loved him and he was never known to have an enemy. He died at the home of his brother, Alonzo Walker, and was laid to rest in the Powell Creek cemetery at Powell Creek, W. Va.
