Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tues., Nov. 18, for Burr L. Haisley, 74, 1280W 800S, Fairmount. He died Sat. night, Nov. 15, in Marion General Hospital. Mr. Haisley was a lifetime resident of and a farmer in, Liberty Township. He was a member of the Fairmount Friends Church, a 50-year member and past master of Fairmount Masonic Lodge, the Grant County Scottish Rite and Ft. Wayne Scottish Rite. Burr was loved and respected by his friends in Fairmount. He was a most knowledgeable Bible student and a very capable Sunday School teacher. He could recite, from memory, more of the Masonic rites than anyone in the area and led in many Masonic memorial services. It is said that being unable to practice the rites on another person, he memorized them by repeating them to his cows in the field. He is survived by his wife, Anna; 2 sons, Harlan and Charles, both of Fairmount; 1…..
