   Emmagene Madison was born April 11, 1915, to Otto Anthony Schroeder and Bina Holmes Howard Johnson Schroeder in Lodi, CA. She attended Emerson School, Lodi grades 1 and 2. Then, her family moved to Piedmont, CA, where she attended Piedmont Lafayette, Wildwood and Frank C. Havens Schools, and she graduated from Piedmont High School in 1932. Her family then moved back to Lodi in 1933, and she took a post graduate course in bookkeeping from Mr. Zumwalt at Lodi Union High School.
   Emmagene had been active in Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority having served as president and other offices, 3 bridge clubs, Needham School PTA in the 50's, Republican Women, Woman's Club of Lodi having served as president twice and she was honored by the Atlantic Richfield Co. for her work in conservation particularly the Penny Pines Plantations project. She also chaired the Woman's Club Annual Antiques Show and Sale for 27 years.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd T. Madison in 1975; brother Otto Austin Schroeder; and sister, Alma Elaine Shepherd.
