— Barbara B. Moore, 78, of Dalton, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruby Burkett; and husband, W. L. Moore.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Vickie Moore of Calhoun, Gary and Susan Moore and Wesley and Amy Moore, all of Dalton; brother, Jack Burkett of Edwardsburg, Mich.; grandchildren, Allyn and Ryan Martin, Abby Moore, Steven Moore, Ashley and Jonathan Smith, David Moore, Morgan and Josh Roberts, Zach Plumley and Alex Ingle; and great-grandchildren, Cammie Smith and Ranger Roberts.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Moore will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Darey Kittle and Rev. Bill Walker officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.
