World War II U.S. Army Veteran. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in November 1944 and served as a Private in the 334th Engineer Regiment and was sent to the European theater in May 1945. Shortly after he was sent to an embarkation point in France, then it was decided that he did not have enough points for discharge, so he was being sent into Germany for occupation. Before he left he was killed in accident near Lancarvine, France.
