English Entrepreneur. Born in Staffordshire. England, he was working as an enameller in London, when moved with his father to Derby, in 1756. There he opened a successful pottery factory and produced decorate pottery on the London market. In 1775, he and partner John Heath were given a Royal Warrant my King George III appointing them China Manufacturers in Ordinary to His Majesty. This allowed them to include a crown on their porcelain mark, with the Duesbury "D" with a crown to record that they were "Derby China Manufacturers to His Majesty. His work is not only in the British Royal Palace and also many museums. He died of a heart attack at age 61 at his china factory in Derby, England.
