Margaret Martin was born in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Maryland, April 12, 1789, the daughter of Matthias and Anna Barbara Troxell Martin, natives of Pennsylvania. On March 25, 1813, she married Daniel Firor, in Frederick County, Maryland. He was born May 10, 1787, the son of John Leonard and Dorothea Elisabetha Paus Firor. They were the parents of 8 children, 7 of whom lived to adulthood: Sophia Barbara, Mary Elizabeth, Jacob Levi, Susanna Catharine, David Samuel, Eleanor Anna Maria (died young), Martin Daniel and Ephraim Augustus Firor. Margaret Martin Firor was my great-great-great-grandmother.
