Ann Hancock Brush Age 95 of Nashville, August 27, 2011. She was born in Goodlettsville to the late Robin Thomas and Eunice Connell Hancock. She graduated from Isaac Litton High School and attended Watkins Business School for two years. She was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church where she arranged flowers for church service every Sunday for over 40 years. She served on the Nashville Mental Health Board working with the Friendship Club. She was a member of Riverside Garden Club serving two terms as president. In her garden club work, she became a State Life Member, National Life Member, Master Judge, and a member of the Horticultural Society. She served on the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs state board many years with many different jobs. She served as state chairman of conservation and was conservation chairman on the Deep South board. She was a past member of Ikebana International. She was a very talented flower arranger and won many awards for her work. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and putting the flowers into beautiful arrangements. She was loved very much by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Dr. Hassell H. Brush; brothers, Robert and Jack Hancock; and sister, Ruth Yates. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Brush (Glenn) Nabors of Goodlettsville; son, Dr. Jack Edmund (Susan) Brush of Zurich, Switzerland; grandchildren, Dr. Glenn (Sharon) Nabors Jr., Pat Nabors (Alan) Franks, Travis B. Nabors, Beth Nabors (John) Sikes, John Brush, and Christina Brush (David) Box; great grandchildren, Ashlee Franks, Julie Nabors, Glenn Nabors III, Tyler Franks, Nancy P. Nabors, Stephanie Nabors, Anna Kate Franks, Drew Sikes, Matthew Sikes, and Miriam Box. Visitation will be from 2-8PM, Tuesday, August, 30th at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11AM, Wednesday, August 31st at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 515 Long Hollow Pk., Goodlettsville, TN with visitation one hour prior. Elder Ronald Lawrence to officiate. Pallbearers will be Glenn Nabors Jr., Travis B. Nabors, Alan Franks, John Sikes, Glenn Nabors III, and Tyler Franks. Interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
