Laurel Hinckley Doxey was at long last joyously reunited with her husband early December 28, 2011. She was born March 21, 1927 in Ogden, UT. to Charles O. Hinckley and Millie Garner Hinckley.
She grew up attending schools in Idaho, Oregon and Utah, before settling in Ogden where she met and married Willard Riley Doxey Jr. August 16, 1951. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and he preceded her in death November 29, 1961.
After Bill's death she resumed her career and became a paralegal for the county attorney's office. She spent over 50 years in service with her sisters in Beta Sigma Phi. She also served in many positions within the LDS church. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving sister Colleen Hinckley and great grandson Milo Doxey.
She is survived by her children Greg, Cristy, Shawn (Michele), Mat (DruAnn), and Will, sisters in law, Jane Doxey and Elise McGavock, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park, Family will greet friends at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services.
