Married Mar 17 1878 Sarpy Co., NE, John Green "Green" Swayze (b.~1846 MI, d. 1895-1900 NE)

Miss Louisa Ann Killinger was born in Dubuque, Iowa, Feb. 27, 1855. She later moved to Papillion, Nebr. With her parents living on a farm north of that city. At 18 years of age she joined the German M.E. church. On March 17, 1878 she was united in marriage to Green Swayze, to which union nine children were born, seven now living: Walter of Aberdeen, Wash., Alvin of Mason City, Mrs. Della Chapman of Auroroa, Owcar, Wesley, Gottlob and Mrs. Irene White of this city.
In 1898 the family moved to Ainsworth, Brown County, Nebr. And engaged in the live stock business where Mr. Swayze died in the spring of 1900. She disposed of the property the following fall and moved to Stanton, Nebr., where she could send the younger children to school. In September 1905 she bought the Wm. Shult farm south of Arcadia which place she sold later and bought the Johnson farm 8 miles south of Arcadia which has been her home since.
Mrs. Swayze also leaves three brothers and one sister, nineteen grand children and one great grandchild. She has been sickly for some time and this spring she was taken to Omaha to consult physicians and after careful examinations, it was found that she had enlargement of the liver with complications. She was then taken to the Lord Lister hospital for treatment. Everything possible being done to relieve her, but she passed away at 10:30 P.M. June 28, 1923. Her brother Julius and sons Water and Oscar were at her bedside when the end came.
Funeral services were held from the M.E. church Sunday afternoon at 2:00in charge of Rev. C. H. Foe. Interment was in the Arcadia cemetery.
The following out of town folks were here for the funeral: Julius Killinger Omaha, Walter Swayze Aberdeen, WY, Mrs. Della Chapman of Aurora, Bert Jewell of Gretner, John and Stanley Babcock of Thompson, and Alvin Swayze of Mason City.
