Obituary: Virginia Laura Pearson (nee Friel). Virginia L. Pearson was born on March 27, 1915 in Salt Lake City a descendant of Mormon Pioneers. Her family moved to S.F. in 1925, and she attended Alamo, Lowell, and Cogswell College. She was an accomplished musician and sang professionally. In 1935, she married Clyde V. L. Pearson, a Boy Scout executive, and they had two daughters, Judith and Marjanne. Virginia loved the outdoors, and when her daughters were young, she was a Girl Scout leader. Clyde died in 1977, and she moved to Rossmoor in 1987. She enjoyed an active life, with music, the LDS Church, her family, and many friends. She died on January 13, 2004, after a short illness. A memorial service will be held on the anniversary of her birth, at 11am on Saturday, March 27, Lafayette Ward, 2369 Overlook Drive, Walnut Creek. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the S.F. Conservatory of Music (415-759-3410) or the Ship Brooklyn Association (209-538-3940).

3-15-13, I checked with the cemetery office today to get her plot number and lady in office stated there is no record of her being buried at Cypress
