Martha was the wife of Thomas N. Hicks. I have refrained from entering a birth date since I have two conflicting and am not sure which one is accurate. Martha's death certificate states "month and day unknown 1848", however the 1900 Census record states June 1856. I understand census records are estimates, however every other family member listed on that record have accurate month and birth years. It just would seem odd that Martha's was the only one that was incorrect considering she was alive at the time the census was taken.
Martha's death certificate lists her parents as "Alphoso Gibbs" & "Nancy Masser". Nancy Gibbs was residing with Martha and her husband Thomas in the 1880 Census.
