Bobby Eugene Sparks, 71, of Airport Road, North Wilkesboro, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Sparks was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Richlands, Va., to Earnest and Lola Elswick Sparks. He had worked
in the automobile industry as a financial manager and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Sparks; and one sister, Ruby Walk.
Survivors include his mother, Lola Elswick Sparks of Marion, Va.; one daughter, Susan Short of North
Wilkesboro; one son, Gregg Sparks and wife, Nichole, of Radford, Va.; one brother, Jimmie Sparks and
wife, Carrie, of Marion, Va.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Thursday, 7 p.m., at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. James Wingler
officiating.
