Lillian Evelyn Fox, 72, of the Chuckey community, died Sunday morning at her home.
Mrs. Fox was a native of Greene County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Nona Wilhoit.
She was a member of Greene Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.
Those close to her knew her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years: Gail B. Fox; her daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Terry Anderson of Milner, Ga.; her son and daughter-in-law: Ronald and Kathy Fox of Chuckey; a grandson: Matthew Anderson of Milner; a granddaughter and special grandson-in-law: Emily and Shane Malone; two special great-grandsons: Taylor Malone and Travis Malone, both of Chuckey; a stepgrandson: Lannie Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and a brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Donnie Wilhoit, and two sisters: Norma Brown and Alma Ruth Bell, all of Chuckey.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Greene Ridge FWB Church with interment in Union Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Swatzell will officiate.
The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Brownlow Bowman, Clark Hensley, Kenny Haire, "Spud" Belt, Roger Hensley, and Bill Moncier.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Greene Ridge FWB Church.
