2nd Wife Helen (Hancock) Banks
Lewis Andrew Banks, 69, of 1312 Kansas City, Kansas, died yesterday at Providence hospital. He suffered a stroke two weeks ago. He was an employee for 10 years of the National Bellas Hess corporation. He was a member of the First General Baptist church, 1129 Scott. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen R. Banks of the home; seven daughters, Mrs. Louise Horton, Phoenix, Ariz; Mrs. Elsie Baker, 1117 Kansas; Mrs. Laura James, 1120 Kansas; Mrs. Dorothy Conatser, Trumann, Ark.; Mrs. Agnes Lester, 700 North Eighty-second, Muncie; Mrs. Edna Hromek, 2931 Quincy, and Mrs. Maxine Mauzey, 707 North Eight-second, Wyandotte County, and three sons, Edward D. Banks, 919 North Sixty-first terrace, Wyandotte County; Lewis A. Banks, Jr., 1103 Kansas, and Arlin R. Banks of the home; a sister, Mrs. Emily Rudd, Keokuk, IA, and 23 grandchildren.
