Mrs. Myra Mae Johnson 71, of 833 Ridge St. died at 3:30 a.m. today in Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 13, 1904 in Byesville, a daughter of the late Jack and Alta Coyle Farnsworth.

On May 21, 1925, she was married to Herman D. Johnson who survives with three sons and five daughters: Dean J., Omaha, Neb., Dewey and Orville Johnson, Mrs. Roberta Noland and Mrs. Alta D. Burge, all of Marietta; Mrs. Lagatha Powers and Mrs. Mona K. Noland, both of Phoenix, Arz., and Maj. Opal Johnson with the Salvation Army in DuBois, PA. There are 19 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. One sister survives, Mrs. Bertha Hivnor, Zanesville. One sister is deceased.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Salvation Army, where she served as flag bearer and welcome sergeant. She was a member of the Golden Gleam Council, Daughters of America.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in McClure-Schafer Funeral Home, with Maj. Lillian Martin, Salvation Army at DuBois, and Capt. Gerald Bouch officiating. Burial will be in Harmar Cemetery. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
