MUNCIE--Sue Lee Beaty, 82, went to be with the Lord Sunday morning, December 18, 2011, after a short stay at Morrison Woods.

She was born on March 31, 1929 in Pickett County, TN, the daughter of Herbert and Lillian Bilbrey. She married her husband of 65 years, Willie W. Beaty, in 1946 and moved to Muncie.

Mrs. Beaty was formerly employed at Owens Illinois and Chevrolet Muncie. Mostly, she was a homemaker who took pride in her home and raising her family.

She attended True Light Baptist Church and had a strong faith in the Lord. Sue was a member of the Chanute Girls, that regularly met once a month at Bruner's Restaurant. When she was younger, she enjoyed family vacations an crocheting. She loved her flower garden and canning vegetables from their garden and was know for cooking and baking her famous pies.

Mrs. Beaty will be deeply missed by friends who often spoke to her on a daily basis.

Surviving besides her husband, are two children;

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leonard, James and JT Bilbrey; and two babies, Carol Jean and Richard Thomas Beaty.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Trimble and Pastor James O. McCowan officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday or one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
