Thankful was the daughter of Godfrey and Mary (Miller)Nims, of Deerfield, Massachusetts.

Thankful Nims married on 15 January 1702/03 in Deerfield, MA, Benjamin Munn, b. 1 March, 1682/83 in [Westfield] Springfield, Hampden, MA. He reportatly died 5 Feb 1774. Burial location unknown.

Reference must be made to maps of the area at the time of Thankful's death. Gill was on the outskirts of Deerfield where the family had established a home.

Covered with snow, the half-underground home went noticed on Feb. 29, 1704. Plaque was dedicated 2001. "Near this spot was the cave in which on Feb 29, 1704 the family of Benjamin and Thankful (Nims) Munn escaped the Indian Attack" ~2001
