Ballaugh -- This is affirmed by the subscribing Witnesses hereof to be the last Will and Testament of Joney Cannell, Widow, of the Parish of Ballaugh who was of sound and disosing Mind, Memory and Understanding at the time She declared the same. First -- She committed her Soul to God and her Body to a Christian Burial. Secondly -- She left and bequeathed unto her Son Nicholas the Sum of five pounds together with half of her sheep and her moiety or Half of the Bees between her and her said Son in his Garden and the Silk Handkerchief which her said Son gave her. Thirdley -- She left and bequeathed unto her Daughter Isabel Mylvorrey all her Pewter and one Half of her shaped woolen and Linen Clothes excepting a new worsted Petticoat which She left unto her Sister Catherine Cowley. Fourthly, She left and bequeathed unto her Grand daughter Jane Mylvorrey her best Silk Handkerchief, her best feather Bed, Bolster and Bed Clothes, a new Cloak, a little spinning Wheel, all her Woolen and Linen Yarn and the Sum of five pounds. Fiftly -- She left and bequeathed unto her Daughter Joney Wife of John Grimshaw the Sum of six pounds Her § [second page] smoothing Iron, a Blanket and the other Half of her shaped woolen and linen Apparel aforesaid. Sixthly -- She left and bequeathed unto her two Grandsons namely John & Nicholas Cannell the Children of her said Son Nicholas an ewe Yearling each. Lastley, She nominated constituted and appointed her Son Patrick Cannell whole and sole Executor of her said Will and residuary Legatee of all the Rest Residue and Remainder of her Goods, Rights, Credits Chattels and Effects movable and immovable whatever -- And to the Witnesses hereof She left one English Shilling Each.
