Age 80, of Winston, Oregon, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2003, at a Roseburg, Oregon hospital. She was born on August 30, 1923, in Wewoke, Oklahoma, daughter of John E. and Pearl (Simmons) Streater. She moved with her family during the Dust Bowl to California and settled in Los Angeles, graduating from Garfield High School. She later moved to Sacramento, California, where she owned and operated B.J.'s Carpet and Drapery. Betty retired and moved to Winston ten years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Robin Shelton and her husband, Charles Lund of Winston; brother, Jerry Streater and his wife, Ruth of Salano Beach, California. She has two nieces, Jill and Sue. A visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Taylor's family Chapel in Winston, on Wednesday, December 3, 2003. Graveside services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento, California, on Friday, December 5, 2003, at 1 p.m.
