He was mentally handicapped at age two from fever, believed to be Diphtheria. Uncle Nick loved children and would give them candy, thus earning the name, Candyman. He lived his later years in Rayne, Acadia, LA. Living in the house of his sister, Zulmae Marie (Broussard) and her husband Frank Broussard on South Parkerson St in Rayne. He was a very talented man. He learned to play the harmonica and French accordion. He entertained at the family get togethers. He died of complications of pneumonia and Parkinson's disease. He is buried in the Broussard Cemetery near Verot School Rd and St. Vincent Rd. turn down St. Pascal Rd. it is at the end of the road. It has ancestors buried there that are direct descendants of Beausoileau Broussard.
