Kenneth Donald Aalseth, 61, of Boulder, Colorado, and formerly of Sioux City, Iowa, died Saturday, December 6, 1986, in Denver, Colorado, after a two-year illness. Kenneth was born on May 16, 1925, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Goldie Rosella (Savage) and Chauncey "Ben" Aalseth

He graduated from Leeds High School in 1943. He earned a bachelor's degree at Morningside College and a master's degree in bio-chemistry from Penn State College.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy for three years.

He married Ruth Elaine Rentel in August of 1947. The couple lived in Chicago where he was a chemist for Swift and Co. They moved to California in 1961 and lived there until moving to Colorado in 1980. In California and Colorado, Kenneth was self-employed in the real estate business.

Kenneth was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jan Marie Aalseth, in 1952.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Elaine (Rentel); two sons, Gene of San Jose, CA; and Ronald of Lafayette, CO; one sister, Juanita Holmes in CA, and one brother, Benny in NV; and two grandsons.
