Wilhelmina M. Walker

Wilhelmina "Wilma" Mildred Walker, 92, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on November 8, 2011, at Golden Living Center-Dorchester. She was born on March 20, 1919 in Sevastopol to Paul and Ella (Zwicker) Braun. In 1941, she married Harry Larson and he preceded her in death in 1963. In 1970, she married Chester Walker and he preceded her in death in 1986. Wilma was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3088, Bay View Lutheran Church and the Homemakers Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling to Oneida with her daughters and other bingo buddies. Wilma enjoyed good health and independence until the past several months. Survivors include one daughter, Linda (John) Sewell, Maplewood; six grandchildren, Paul (Michelle) Martinson; Shawn Martinson; Eric (fiancé, Amy) Martinson; Trent Martinson; Steve (Charlie) Maedke; Lisa (Jeremy) Hartwig; five great-grandchildren, Monte, Richard, Marilyn, and Nole Martinson; and Harold Maedke; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one daughter, Harriet Maedke; two sons-in-law, Richard Martinson and David Maedke; one grandson, David John Maedke: one great-granddaughter, Ella Rose Hartwig; one brother, Robert Braun; one sister, Florence Lopez. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday November 13, 2011, at Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Malek officiating. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
